Mid-Pacific seeks a High School Visual Arts Teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. Teach a range of high school visual arts courses, including the Fundamentals of Visual Art, Visual Arts History, and/or 2D/3D Art Techniques level I, II, or III courses. Support students in the Mid-Pacific School of the Arts Certificate program with personalized, professional feedback in constructing an artist’s portfolio. Mid-Pacific is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory day school serving students in grades Pre-K - 12.
Qualifications and Experience: Minimum requirement of a BFA (MFA preferred) in visual arts or related field from an accredited university or college. Minimum of three years related industry and/or academic experience required; currently working artists preferred, with technical specialization in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, and mixed-media. Prior teaching experience is also required. Previous experience with the International Baccalaureate program is an advantage.
