St. Albans School of Washington, DC, is seeking a long-term substitute fourth-grade teacher for March through early June 2018. The position involves leading a homeroom of fifteen fourth-grade boys; teaching language arts, mathematics, and social studies; and collaborating with other Form C teachers. Strong candidates will exhibit an ability to teach with imagination and vigor, an understanding of the developmental needs of young students, skill in classroom leadership and planning, and a willingness to work flexibly and collaboratively with colleagues. A bachelor’s degree and elementary-grades classroom experience are required, an advanced degree in education preferred.
