The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland, an independent K-12 boys’ school in Baltimore, seeks a proven educational leader to serve as Head of Lower School, beginning July 1, 2018. The Head of Lower School is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the division. Specific responsibilities include leadership of faculty and staff, oversight of curriculum and instruction, and facilitating effective communication with students and families.
The Head of Lower School should be an experienced educator who understands the needs of elementary students and is knowledgeable about curriculum for these grade levels. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in an appropriate field, administrative experience in primary and/or secondary education, and strong communication skills. An appreciation for the value of a single-sex education, an interest in working with students of diverse backgrounds, and a willingness to be actively involved in all facets of school life will be highly valued.
