Community School is seeking a dynamic Upper School Mathematics teacher for the 2018-2019 school year. The primary responsibility includes teaching four to five sections of Upper School mathematics. Additional responsibilities include: serving as an Upper School advisor, participating in the school's extensive Outdoor Program, and leading at least one additional Upper School co curricular activity. For the right candidate, serving as a live-in Residential Advisor in our Boarding Program is a possibility.
In addition to a strong mathematics background, the right candidate will use innovative and creative methods to bring math to life and inspire students of all abilities and interests. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and desire to work within a collaborative, learner-centered, and inquiry-based educational program where innovation, differentiation, and a growth mindset are valued. Above all, the successful candidate must have a love of education and demonstrate an engaged and flexible approach in the classroom and beyond. This is a full-time position, with benefits.
