We seek strong candidates with teaching experience at a variety of mathematical levels, from Geometry through Calculus. Candidates must be familiar with the uses of technology in the teaching of mathematics. While seasoned candidates with advanced degrees are desired, promising teachers with less experience will also be considered. Versatility across the curriculum, including the potential of teaching Physics, Chemistry, or other STEM related disciplines is particularly desired, though not required. Enthusiasm for and experience supporting programs such as math modeling and math competitions is a valuable, though not required, aspect of the job.
Passion for the subject and eagerness to engage with colleagues over pedagogical and curricular matters are crucial qualities that the School seeks in candidates. In addition to classroom teaching, the position includes athletic coaching, student advising, and evening/weekend supervisory duties. A willingness to participate with enthusiasm in all aspects of a residential school community is essential.
