Lincoln School is looking to hire a Full-Time Advancement Officer to help maximize the impact from philanthropy in the short, medium and long term. This individual will focus on major gift fundraising across the country.
The Advancement Officer will manage a portfolio of 150+ prospects, be held accountable for annual fundraising goals, and work as part of a team on the creation and implementation of overall fundraising strategies. The Advancement Officer will also be responsible for organizing and managing selected fundraising efforts and/or projects.
Ability to qualify major gift prospects that represent the highest giving potential for Lincoln School
Willingness to travel approximately 40-50 percent of the time, with the possibility of one international trip a year
The confidence and skill to artfully ask prospective donors to make a major financial contribution in a face-to-face meeting
Outstanding interpersonal skills
A high level of comfort with direct donor interaction and cold calls
Initiative and independence, combined with the ability to work well as part of a team
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated success as a front-line fundraiser, including success in closing five- and six-figure gifts, or a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated success as a front-line salesperson, including success in closing five- and six-figure sales
Strong communication skills, including excellent writing ability
Strong computer skills with experience in fundraising databases
Bachelor's degree required
