The Lawrenceville School seeks a new full time Director of Auxiliary Programs to manage its array of summer and other revenue-generating programs. This will be a unique opportunity for a strategic leader to shape the expansion and future direction of auxiliary programming at one of the most prestigious independent schools in the country. While Lawrenceville currently hosts and operates a multitude of academic, athletic, and mission-driven (philanthropic) programs, there is an opportunity to shape the future of auxiliary programs to better advance the mission of the school, positively impact admissions efforts, and generate additional revenue.
Significant priorities for the new Director of Auxiliary Programs will be to:
Develop and execute a multi-year strategic auxiliary programs plan that achieves agreed upon institutional goals and takes better advantage of the School’s facilities and assets
Generate additional auxiliary net revenue for the school through improved allocation of capacity, efficiencies, and new program development
Build and maintain effective partnerships, relationships and communication with key departments within the school
Manage the impact on the school community related to the use of School facilities and human resources by auxiliary programs, whether during the summer or the school year
With an upcoming major capital project that will reshape athletic and dining facilities for the next generation, develop and execute a transitional programming plan while bridging to the long term strategic auxiliary plan
The Lawrenceville School is a highly selective private independent boarding school that has built a legacy of excellence in education and has earned national recognition for its commitment to environmental sustainability. The 200 year-old campus is situated on 700 acres in historic Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Extensive facilities include 37 major buildings, 18 Houses (dormitories) that make up Lawrenceville’s unique residential system, academic buildings for every discipline, and expansive athletic facilities.
The Director of Auxiliary Programs is responsible for the strategic planning, administration, management and supervision of summer and auxiliary programs including budgeting, scheduling, execution, and evaluation. The ideal candidate will be strategic, resourceful, innovative, forward thinking, and committed. In addition, they will be practical and effective, and focused on operational excellence. They will have the vision and operational skill to develop Lawrenceville’s auxiliary programs to the highest degree of educational excellence reflective of the School’s academic year program.
