Assistant/Associate Director of Admission (per experience)
The assistant director of admission will be part of a team responsible for admission, recruitment, and marketing. Reporting to the director of admission, this individual will work with all members of the office in developing marketing and admission initiatives, initiating new markets, and maintaining existing constituent groups.
With a keen interest in joining a team and contributing to a boarding school community, and with a sound understanding of the West Nottingham mission and place in the market, the assistant director of admission must be focused, energetic, and success-oriented; have strong time-management and organizational skills; have excellent verbal and written communication skills; be able to establish and maintain collegial relationships among all school constituents; have a sense of humor; and be a self-starter and motivator, able to meet deadlines.
Interested in education and the personal advancement of students, candidates should be able to assume a multifaceted role and multitask in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of energy and strong initiative.
This position would be asked to:
Assist with developing analytical reports and statistics for the admission process
Manage admission candidates from inquiry to enrollment; assist with keeping database materials and correspondence records up to date
Plan and run admission events on campus, particularly for the day student market
Conduct applicant interviews and manage family visits to campus
Assist in recruiting efforts off campus; attend school fairs and conferences
Assist in leading the student ambassador program
Assist with management of the school website, social media, and school photography
Assist with the development of school marketing materials
Contribute with market development, execution of marketing plan, and cultivation of new and existing constituent groups
Fulfill all other boarding school responsibilities, as assigned by the head of school
This 12-month position will require some non-traditional work hours, including nights and weekends.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement contribution, on-campus housing, and meals in the school dining hall when classes are in session.

A successful candidate might have 1-3 years of admission experience in an independent school, as well as a talent for marketing and communications. Mastery of Microsoft Office, Excel, database systems, website technology, and social media is extremely important. Ability to work with video production equipment would be ideal. All applicants must have a Bachelors and/or graduate degree in a related field.
