McDonogh School is seeking an energetic, intellectual, and caring individual to teach Upper School French.
The essential functions of this role include:
Inspiring, engaging, and encouraging students in the study of French, creating a dynamic classroom with high expectations for both French language and culture
Exhibiting a strong desire for continual professional growth as a world language educator
Teaching all levels of French to honors and on-level students, from beginners through Post-AP
Demonstrating creativity and authentic cultural experiences in unit and daily planning
Focusing on language proficiency and oral communication in all lessons
Teaching diverse learners through varied instructional strategies and approaches
Working collaboratively with colleagues within the PK-12 language department and other teachers in Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools

Candidates must have:
Degree in French Language and/or Education and speak French fluently .
Experience living, working, or studying in French-speaking Africa or the Carribean is beneficial.
Ability to teach Latin, Spanish, or Chinese preferred.
