The Senior Associate Director of Admission reports to the Director of Admission and assists with all of the responsibilities of the enrollment operation, including but not limited to travel, interviewing, meeting with educational consultants and school placement personnel, corresponding with families and consultants, reviewing applications, scheduling visit, coordinating the on-campus programs for admission, and performing special projects as requested by the Director of Admission.
The job is a 12-month position. Start Date: July 2018
The Senior Associate Director of Admission must have a Bachelor’s degree with three-five years of admission experience, preferably in an independent school. The position requires: strong communication skills – written and oral (public speaking); commitment to meeting deadlines and working under pressure; strong organizational skills; the ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently; the ability to adapt to an ever-changing daily schedule; evidence of a sense of humor; multicultural sensitivity; experience working with technology to monitor effective enrollment management techniques; and dedication to single sex private education.
Recruit students for Middle and Upper School; work with the Director of Admission on achieving the Upper School and Middle School enrollment goals.
Assist in managing admissions funnel activities from inquiry to enrollment; including but not limited to communication, outreach, interview, strategy, enrollment and yield.
Coordinate the travel plan for the admission team in relation to enrollment plan. Research feeder schools, consultants and other sources to develop territories. Provide assistance to admission personnel to implement individual travel plans.
Serve on the Admission Committee with faculty and other admission office staff for the purpose of evaluating applicants and determining decision criteria.

Meet with educational consultants
Conduct research on student matriculation and attrition
Help plan and host on and off campus admission events and open houses.
Assists in developing communication strategies, updating publications, website, e-newsletters, etc.
Guide and collaborate with other members of admissions, administration and faculty to organize specific retention efforts.
Build and maintain close and productive relationships, and excellent, proactive communication with the Director and Admissions team members, as well as colleagues in the Business Office, the IT dept., the Registrar and other internally, and other related external organizations such as the Enrollment Management Association (formerly SSATB).
Effectively present and embody the school’s philosophy and its value proposition through outstanding public speaking and formal presentation skills, one-on-one communication, informal interactions, and written communication.
Support the school and its leadership by serving as needed.
