Annie Wright Schools serve students from age three through high school. Annie Wright Lower and Middle Schools offer co-ed programs in Preschool through Grade 8, while separate Upper Schools forboys and girls offer day and boarding options in Grades 9 through 12.
Responsibilities: This full-time position involves teaching five sections of math and science within the Upper School for Girls.
Math instruction includes four sections—any mix of IB Calculus, IB Algebra 2, Geometry, and/or Algebra 1. Science instruction includes one section of Introductory Physics (to 9th graders).
Beyond direct teaching responsibilities, all Upper School faculty members fulfill a variety of other duties, such as academic advising, dance chaperoning, event planning, etc.
Qualifications: Strong applicants will have experience teaching math and/or science at the high school level, ideally at an independent school. They will have a palpable passion for their subject and an ability to inspire, encourage, and support students. They will have strong computer skills and must be effective communicators.
