Applications are invited from dedicated and enthusiastic, professional educators for the position of Primary Music Teacher. This is a part-time position in our Lower Primary School (Kindergarten-Gr. 2.)
Atlanta International is an IBPYP school with a dual language program operating in the Primary School. In this role, fluency in German or French is a plus.
The successful Teacher Candidate will have:
Training and experience in music education in a Primary School setting
An international perspective and/or international teaching experience
Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent in Primary School Music Education
An unwavering commitment to the students
The ability to teach through an inquiry process and to differentiate between ability levels and learning styles
Excellent interpersonal skills with the desire to work collaboratively with the school community including students, staff, and parents.
IBPYP teaching experience is preferred, but good applicants with other curriculum experience are also welcome to apply. Applicants who are able to teach Music in German or French would be given serious consideration. An understanding of the principles of second language acquisition is also a plus.
