The Lower School Psychologist and Student Support Coordinator is a central position within the Lower School community; interacting and serving students, faculty, parents and administration. Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the emotional and social wellbeing of students; including the coordination of Health and Wellness Programs
Overseeing of the development and implementation of curricular supports and programing for students with a variety of different learning styles.
Coordination of Student Support Team
Review of any psycho-educational evaluations; translation of results into recommendation plans for teachers
Communication with parents concerning student recommendations, supports, and ongoing assessment, as well as outside support service providers and tutors
Communicating program through parent and faculty workshops
Advanced degree in Psychology or Social Work, Doctorate preferred
Five years of experience in the field
Previous school experience necessary, preferably in specialized education
Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and the larger school
Excellent written and verbal skills
Interest in professional growth and school wide initiatives
