The Awty International School has an immediate opening for a Director of Experiential Education Programs. Awty is looking for a talented, experienced and passionate individual who will support the school’s purpose. This will be a half time administration, half time teaching position in the secondary school, grades six through twelve with duties commencing ideally on July 1, 2018. The primary focus will be to work with the community to define a vision, mission and purpose of experiential education at Awty. The Director of Experiential Education will lead the current programs and facilitate new plans which will emerge from the program’s inspiring new vision.
Collaborate and meet regularly with Division Heads
Liaise with curriculum leaders in both the French Program and the International Program
Attend a variety of school events
Supervise coordinator of community service
Oversee student internship program and CAS program
As Director of Experiential Education, report to Head of Middle School

BA or equivalent in a core academic discipline
Demonstrated experience with commendations as a secondary school teacher
Experience in one or more facet of experiential education
Experience with service learning and participation in community service programs
Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating experiential education programs
Experience with organizing and leading school trips
Familiarity with the IB and specifically CAS diploma requirements
Familiarity with French stage program (student internships)
Has an additional language – preferably Spanish or French
