The Hun School of Princeton seeks a full-time Upper School Spanish teacher for the 2018-2019 academic year. Student-centered lesson plans are emphasized at the school as are interdisciplinary, experiential, and skills-based instruction. Responsibilities will include teaching four sections, serving as an advisor, and coaching up to two seasons (or the equivalent). A successful candidate should have experience in teaching all levels of Spanish, be able to communicate at the native or near-native level in both speaking and writing, and conduct classes in the target language at least 90% of the time. The ability to teach French, as well, would be highly valued. An undergraduate degree in Spanish (or a related discipline) is required (Master’s a plus) and at least three years of independent school teaching experience is preferred.
