Hebron Academy is seeking a dynamic, flexible, and forward-thinking faculty member to join our Visual and Performing Arts department for the 2018-2019 school year. Our faculty participate fully in the life of the school -- as teacher, coach, dorm parent, mentor, and advisor.

We are looking for an individual who will: - Teach 3 sections of Upper School classes, classes might include Introduction to Studio, 2D Studio, Adv/Honors 2D Studio, AP Studio Art and/or Creative Expression (a 9th grade arts integration class). 2D Studio classes cover drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, digital painting and design, and photography/film. - Teach Middle School art. - facilitate student-driven inquiry experiences. Individual must be familiar with 21st century skills, growth mindset, experiential learning, as well as integrating technology into all aspects of the classroom. - Be committed to nurturing the whole child by caring for the emotional and social needs of each student. - Curate and hang multiple exhibits in the gallery space in collaboration with other Visual Arts faculty and students, submit student work to national art competitions, support student attendance at events. - Collaborate on department wide initiatives, curriculum development and events. - Lead after school art (an after school activity that focuses on independent and group projects) for 2 seasons. - Be an initiative taker, an organizer, and someone who has great attention to detail. Many aspects of this job require strong time management and communication skills.
