Belmont Hill School is seeking a creative and engaging English teacher to begin in August 2018. Candidates should have a background in teaching either middle school or high school and a willingness and excitement to teach in each of our grades. A wide range in knowledge of literature, both classic and modern, is important as is an innovative approach in using technology to foster discussions and to teach writing. Collaboration and cooperation in planning classes and designing curriculum are also essential. As a full-time faculty member, the candidate will teach four sections. Coaching involvement and/or the ability to advise or oversee extracurricular activities will be expected with this position. At least three years of classroom experience, an advanced degree, and an appreciation for all-boys’ education are important as well.
