Phoenix Country Day School is seeking a full-time Upper School Counselor for the 2018-19 school year.
Support the social and emotional wellbeing of students and faculty
Teach and/or develop health and wellness education for students in grades 9-12
Be an advisor to 8-9 students
Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
Attend regular committee, department, and faculty meetings
Participate as a sponsor or coach for an extracurricular activity, sport, or club
Candidates Must Love:
Working with adolescents, young adults, and adults
Collaborating with colleagues within and across departments
Learning and be eager to take risks
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Graduate degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or other applicable field
3-5 years experience in a clinical or high school setting
An ability to interpret neuropsych or executive function reports
A sense of humor
