The Berkeley Carroll Middle School seeks an inspirational and passionate Math teacher for a full-time position beginning in autumn of 2018. Although the position is still evolving in specifics, it will include for a certainty co-teaching one section of 8th grade Algebra I, one section of 7th grade advanced pre-Algebra and math workshop. Desirable skills would include experience with students with learning differences and experience in educational research. Duties would include serving as a middle school advisor. Ideally, candidates will have experience teaching this age range.
Intelligence, stamina, humor and an abiding interest in the special qualities of middle schoolers are essential. The BCS middle school puts a premium on collegiality, an ability to listen and a commitment to a supportive community that strives to honor diversity in every aspect. Our middle school includes grades five through eight.
