The Director of the Fay Fund will join a collaborative team of advancement professionals to lead, manage, and grow the School’s annual giving program, which raised over $1.7 million during the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Currently, a significant portion of the Fay Fund is composed of contributions from parents and alumni; the Director of the Fay Fund will develop and implement outreach programs focused on increasing participation and giving among all of the School’s constituencies. This role requires some local travel and attendance at evening events. This is a full-time, 12-month position that is eligible for benefits. Campus housing may be available. The Director of the Fay Fund reports to the Director of Development.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years’ experience managing and growing comprehensive fundraising programs, preferably in an independent school or other nonprofit environment. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is required. We seek candidates with a proven ability to set challenging but realistic fundraising goals, and to achieve those goals by developing, communicating, and executing well organized plans. Candidates are expected to have excellent communication skills, demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, and be able to interact effectively with a culturally diverse constituency. Candidates should have both demonstrated experience and a high level of comfort using and learning software tools to gather, research, and analyze prospect data that serves to inform decision making. Proficiency using Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred.
