The New Community School empowers bright, talented students who are challenged by dyslexia and related learning differences. The New Community School is currently hiring a part-time School Counselor for the 2018-2019 school year.
The School Counselor will work with faculty, administrators, parents and students, coordinating a school wide program helping students develop strategies for navigating adolescence, including peer relationships and interactions, decision making, and health and wellness.
Supporting Students – individually and in small groups
Consulting with Parents – individually and in groups
Maintain relationships and coordinate with professional providers for support outside the school
Supporting Division Directors as requested
Serves on Health and Wellness Team and Crisis Management Team as needed.
