Christ Church Episcopal School is conducting a search for an Associate Headmaster, a new position on the leadership team. For the past 58 years, Christ Church has remained true to its core values: character, community, excellence, and service. CCES students feel valued, challenged, and supported as they prepare for exciting futures in a complex and changing world. CCES is mission driven, with strong academics, exemplary arts, excellent athletics and co-curricular programs, and an exceptionally dedicated and caring faculty. Committed to the highest standards of integrity, personal responsibility, and respect for others, the CCES community embraces the school’s Honor Code and its rich Episcopal traditions.
Christ Church’s Headmaster, Dr. Leonard Kupersmith, works closely with the Admission and Development Offices to ensure full enrollment and to enhance the school’s endowment. As he focuses on CCES’s long-term financial health and advancement, Dr. Kupersmith has decided to create the Associate Headmaster position to ensure that academic programs are in the hands of someone with the experience, time, and authority to ensure their ongoing improvement.
Christ Church Episcopal School started in three small houses with 218 students in grades primer (K) through six. The feeling of personal connection that was present in 1959 still pervades CCES’s beautiful, modern campus. Academic rigor, moral development, and a culture of faith still shape student experiences. Evidence of achievement and success can be seen in outstanding test scores, college scholarships, championship team trophies, standing ovations at performances, and, most of all, in the lives CCES graduates who are now highly respected citizens and servant-leaders in their communities and professions. The Associate Headmaster will lead efforts to preserve that legacy.
