The Digital Marketing Strategist is responsible for creating and managing digital content on the school’s website and social media outlets. The individual will employ search engine optimization (SEO) tactics, will utilize target audience knowledge to enhance user experience and generate quality traffic and will employ analytics and information architecture to generate a high-value online presence supporting the school’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
The digital marketing strategist reports directly to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications.
Manages public website and social media editorial activities following departmental/branding guidelines and SEO tactics.
Contributes, maintains, and manages content and design of public-facing website and associated social media outlets, coordinating text and visual elements in a visually attractive presentation.
Monitors, listens, and responds to users and audience in a social way that cultivates on-line relationships.
Writes, maintains and enforces school’s public website policies in conjunction with the director of strategic marketing and communications.
Works collaboratively with strategic marketing and communications team along with admissions, advancement, academic staff, information technology and other departments to develop and implement externally facing web-based marketing strategies and tactics.
Uses graphic and technological skills to design and produce new pages for the public website/media sites as needed.
Monitors and offers guidance on digital trends, applications, channels, and user experience.
Manages multiple projects effectively while keeping accurate documentation of activities/projects and compiles weekly use reports for public website and key digital outlets.reports for public website and key digital outlets.
Troubleshoots and serves as first response with any technical concerns on the public website.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, communications, or marketing
A minimum of two years experience, combining marketing and technical website management
Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel, website content management, design, and social media marketing
Ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience with Blackbaud/onProducts and HubSpot are a strong plus
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and communicate progress appropriately
Excellent written, oral, communication and organizational skills
Must be self-directed, aspirational, an innovative thinker and able to operate both independently and as part of a team
Experience with HTML/CSS, Adobe products, photo and sound editing, and video production are preferred
Able to stand, move throughout the campus, operate a computer, ascend and descend stairs, stoop, kneel and crouch
Able to lift, move or transport equipment and/or furniture weighing up to 20 pounds across campus to various classrooms and events
