Health and Wellness Educator
Berkeley Carroll is a Pre-K through grade 12 college preparatory school of 968 students located in the Park Slope section of New York City. Our vibrant intellectual community draws students from all over the city, admission to the school is competitive, and both our parents and students value achievement.
The school seeks enthusiastic Health and Wellness Educator for its Middle and Upper divisions. Responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of curriculum and programs that address wellness, sexuality, gender diversity, nutrition, mental health and substance abuse prevention;
- Teaching Middle and Upper school health classes;
- Additional duties, depending on a candidate’s interests and background, will round out the position.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to collaborate and implement new programs; possess outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills; and an eagerness to work with a diverse range of students, from 5th graders to high school seniors. A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s in Public Health or other health-related field is preferred.
Salary and benefits are highly competitive and are commensurate with experience and credentials. This full time position begins August 28, 2017.
