Bosque School, a co-ed independent day school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, seeks an experienced and talented Fine Arts Teacher to begin August 2017. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about teaching art, love working with middle and high school students, and are trained as art educators. The essential duties/responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Teaching four sections of Fine Arts; primarily middle school
Participating in faculty meetings and ongoing professional development through Bosque School's Sofia Center
Working closely with the art department and grade-level teams
Engaging in planning and execution of interdisciplinary project work
Participating in the preparation and exhibition of student work through Art Showcase Events in the evenings and on weekends
Fulfilling other non-teaching duties as assigned by the Middle School Division Head such as, serving as a faculty advisor to 10-12 middle school students, or sponsoring a one-week experiential learning program

Three years of teaching experience at the middle school level preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts or Art Education
Knowledge of current pedagogical trends in art education
Capacity to address the developmental needs of academically motivated middle school students
Passion and skill to contribute positively to an educational environment that supports a lifelong learning
Love of learning, self-esteem, and respect for the community and the world in which we live
Commitment to engaging in community conversations about diversity and equity
Experience with or knowledge of mastery learning practices desirable
Experience with integrating technology in the classroom
Encourage applicants who are active in the art community and/or art making
