Randolph School is seeking a Middle School (grades 5-8) Spanish teacher beginning August, 2017.
The ideal candidate is a Spanish speaker, can teach a wide range of levels, and is committed to offering students an inspiring, language-learning experience. Requirements include fully-fluent language usage, excellent pronunciation, ability to teach totally in the target language, a firm understanding of Spanish syntax, vocabulary and culture, classroom management skills, collegiality, and a keen desire to work with young people.
The teacher will be expected to be actively involved in the school’s full program which will involve advising, sponsoring clubs, chaperoning field trips, being on faculty committees and attending school events. Interest in contributing to extracurricular programs will be a positive asset.
Applicants should have at least a BA degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field, and teaching experience in Foreign Language education. Preference will be given to applicants who can also teach 1-2 sections of French I. Teaching experience in a rigorous, college preparatory program will be given additional consideration.
