Phillips Academy invites applicants for a one year appointment as an instructor in history and social science for the 2017-18 academic year. Successful candidates must be prepared to teach students at every level, and, as a member of the department, participate in the instruction of courses required for the diploma in World History or US history. Specific assignments generally comprise three or four sections, most likely with two or three preparations. The Academy seeks dynamic individuals who will be active participants in all aspects of a residential school, teaching, house counseling, and coaching. Opportunities exist for multidisciplinary, experiential and on- and off-campus program development through a range of Academy resources.
