Holton-Arms School invites applications for the position of Math Teacher for the 2017-18 school year. Founded in 1901, Holton-Arms is an independent college preparatory girls school with 664 students in grades 3 through 12, located on a 57-acre campus in Bethesda, MD, a suburb of Washington. Candidates must have teaching experience in a rigorous, college preparatory program at the Middle School level and enjoy working with students as well as with colleagues. Successful candidates should have a strong educational background in mathematics and be able to teach a 7th and 8th grade curriculum that ranges from Pre-Algebra through Geometry. We seek individuals who are eager to create a student-centered classroom and are willing to explore ways to use technology to achieve this goal. Collegiality and an eagerness to collaborate with colleagues on advancing the school’s strategic initiatives are essential. Involvement beyond the classroom is an expectation and candidates who are able to lead extra-curricular activities are preferred.
