This position reports directly to the Chair of the Arts Department. Directing concert band ensemble and coordinating all aspects of a small instrumental program such as jazz band and guitar courses.
Serve as a member of the Arts Department
Teach 3-4 sections during the academic day (FT)
Lead jazz band club
Serve as an adviser (FT)
In collaboration with department chair and other faculty maintain an up-to-date scope and sequence document for the music department
Develop and implement programming to support the development of interdisciplinary competencies in faculty and students
Coordinate Fall and Spring Concert
Coordinate Winter Celebration
Coordinate use of A/V equipment for all FVS events
Support Freshman Arts program
Supervise one night of evening residence hall duty (FT)
Participate in an Interim (FT)
Participate in a class retreat (FT)
Serve as a member of a weekend duty team (FT)
