The Executive Administrative Assistant supports the School’s mission by overseeing the daily operations of the office of the Head of School. The Executive Administrative Assistant coordinates communications between the Head’s Office, internal divisions, departments, and external constituencies of the School’s three campuses. Primary responsibilities consist of providing administrative support to the Head of School and acting as a liaison to the board of trustees, parents, students, faculty, administrators and staff.
Qualifications include a college degree; experience supporting an executive or senior administrator; excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness; proficiency in MS Office suite and experience handling databases and on-line scheduling; ability to complete work in a busy, high-profile office setting and deal with frequent interruptions. A firm grasp of proper English usage and ability to compose correspondence and other documents independently are essential, as is the ability to anticipate issues before they arise and thoroughly prepare the Head for them. The position requires highly professional deportment as well as confidentiality and discretion. Patience, tact, confidence, organization, initiative, and a sense of humor are important qualities. This position requires the flexibility to work additional hours, including occasional evenings and very infrequently weekends.
