Friends' School's Teacher Preparation Program offers a one-year residency in an apprenticeship model leading to Colorado teacher licensure. We offer programs for both Early Childhood and Elementary Certification. Teacher candidates spend one full school year in a public or independent school classroom working alongside a mentor teacher four days a week and attend workshops and seminars on the fifth day. Candidates gradually assume more teaching responsibility until they feel comfortable in a co-teaching role. A support team provides feedback and advice throughout the internship year. For more information, please email Ed Walent or Julie Hart at email@example.com.
