Randolph School is seeking an enthusiastic full time science teacher for an Upper School (9-12) position to begin August, 2017. This teacher will participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff to promote the general well-being of the school community in a manner that supports and promotes the Randolph School Mission.
Candidates should bring experience teaching science that includes hands-on laboratory work. The successful candidate must be prepared to teach students in every level of biology, including Advanced Placement. In addition to teaching, the position includes advising individual students and assisting with science competitions, such as Science Bowl and Science Olympiad. This teacher should have an interest in working with young people, the willingness to work in a collegial departmental setting, and a desire to use technology as a teaching and/or learning tool. The department expects a creative and self-motivated colleague with effective oral and written communication skills who has a commitment to lifelong learning.
Education qualifications: Preferred M.A. (science) or experience in teaching high school science-especially biology and environmental science. Educational leadership experience preferred.
Minimum requirement: B.A. in science
