Description: The Overlake School, an independent, non-profit, NWAIS accredited 5th-12th grade school, seeks an Upper School Science teacher for the 2017-18 school year.
Overlake School is hiring a full-time Upper School science teacher whose primary responsibilities will include teaching in the BioChem Core, a two-year sequence of courses, taught to 9th and 10th graders, that focuses on the nature and behavior of biological and chemical systems. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of science teaching experience at the secondary school level, an advanced degree in science and/or education, and a passion for working with high school students. Experience teaching introductory high school biology and chemistry is required.. In addition, the successful candidate has worked collaboratively on curriculum and assessment.
