Mid-Pacific seeks a full-time High School Scheduler (Registrar). The Scheduler is responsible for the student academic schedule and calendar. The Scheduler has primary responsibility for making all changes to student schedules and keeping accurate, public data throughout that process so students can be accurately counseled. The Scheduler composes the academic schedule, using data from the enrollment and registration processes to match student needs to teacher and facility availability. The Scheduler arranges for substitute teachers as needed. The Scheduler works with the Assistant Principal for Academics to create final exam and proctoring schedules. In close collaboration with the Assistant Principal for Academics, the Scheduler creates the High School Course Catalog. This position is a normal, 40 hour per week job except during peak periods of scheduling demands. During the scheduling peak seasons (10-12 weeks per year), the scheduler may expect to work 15-20 additional hours weekly. Mid-Pacific is an independent, co-educational, college-preparatory school serving students from Preschool - grade 12.
Education and/or Experience: An Associate or Bachelor's degree is required. Experience in a fast-paced, high volume work environment is desirable. Experience with the Blackbaud data system, Google applications, Microsoft Office, and the latest in commercial communications platforms is preferred. Experience with handling confidential information with proper protocol and in adherence to FERPA regulations is preferred. The position requires excellent communication skills and interpersonal tact. As a service provider, the position holder should be able to quickly evaluate issues and be able to direct needs to proper departments/personnel. This position holder will be cross-trained on all registrar positions to enable seamless service to our customers if a team member is not available. Further, a high level of interest in and knowledge about the school as a whole will be expected. This "team orientation" and willingness to collaborate is another essential requirement for the position.
