The Digital Media Manager will oversee the production of a wide variety of relevant content and drive the execution of NAIS social media campaigns in support of NAIS and its member engagement goals. This position will plan and administer NAIS’s social media content; serve as the project manager for digital initiatives and key strategist for multimedia projects; write, edit, and produce the NAIS Bulletin electronic newsletter; and compile NAIS’ social media analytics reports.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Planning and overseeing NAIS social media outreach; determining strategy; integrating social calendar with organization-wide editorial calendar; writing and posting
Writing, editing, and producing the NAIS Bulletin electronic newsletter and other digital outreach
Curating a wide variety of content relevant to the independent school industry and producing actionable plans for sharing that content in collaboration other team members
Developing and overseeing content-rich social media campaigns, such as the NAIS Deep Dive
Collaborating on professional development-related social media; posting articles and related collateral (photos, videos, etc.) during and after NAIS events
Curating NAIS’s content-heavy social media presence to support the organization’s content strategy and member engagement goals
Tracking, analyzing, and measuring data to spot trends, content needs, audiences, growth areas; proposing actionable ideas to better serve key audiences
Engaging with members and followers on NAIS social media platforms, and using that interaction to gain insight into how NAIS can meet the needs of its community
Staying up-to-date on social media trends and making recommendations on how NAIS should best utilize new platforms and vehicles to reach key audiences
Serving as project manager for digital initiatives, and key strategist for multimedia projects; serving as point of contact for vendors such as videographers, printers, and designers; managing permissions; setting schedules; collaborating with subject matter experts as needed
Producing simple graphics for use in social media, email blasts, the newsletter, and website, as needed
Monitoring new content development needs as suggested by member interest and pressing issues; proposing coverage; working with teammates to produce
Developing facility with CMS, AMS, email marketing systems and related tools, including posting content, pulling lists, updating records, and more
Ensuring consistency of tone and editorial style
Assuming other responsibilities, as assigned
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of marketing and communications experience
Experience utilizing content management (CMS) or email marketing systems, performing similar tasks related to this role
Excellent writing and editing skills
Experience compiling, analyzing, and presenting social media analytics
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/activities simultaneously while maintaining quality
Ability to work efficiently, independently, and as part of a team; to communicate regularly; and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; ability to adapt and learn new software and web-based systems
