St. Johns Country Day School, an independent, college preparatory school, is seeking an experienced academic leader to fill the role of Mathematics Department Chair/ Teacher. Qualified applicants will value strong relationships with students and colleagues and be capable of teaching all levels of Mathematics, including Advanced Placement.
The successful candidate will lead a talented group of teachers in the school’s mathematics department, will cultivate a dynamic mathematics curriculum, collaborate with Lower School mathematics instructors to ensure alignment of learning objectives across all divisions and will desire to be an active member of the school community. The position also requires teaching four Math classes daily, with an average class size of approximately 15 students.

The position requires an advanced degree in math or related field, with a minimum of five years teaching experience at the middle and/or upper school levels.
Additional Salary Information: The position is for the academic year starting in August 2017. A salary commensurate with experience, degree attainment, and qualifications is paid to employees annually.
