The Loomis Chaffee School seeks an enthusiastic individual to join its College Guidance Office, made up of five college counselors and a full-time administrative assistant. This will be a full time, year-round position that reports to the Director of College Guidance.
Advising, guiding and supporting approximately 45-50 juniors and seniors throughout the entire college selection and application process.
Working collaboratively as a member of the college guidance team, including assisting with various campus programs and taking on special projects and assignments as determined by the Director of College Guidance.
Developing and maintaining relationships with college admissions professionals; staying current in the college admissions profession by visiting colleges and participating in conferences and workshops.
Writing comprehensive and timely school reports in support of student applications.
Senior Associate Director responsibilities may also include duties such as: mentorship and training of staff, coordination of campus programs, implementation of office communications strategy, and/or database maintenance and reporting.

Extensive knowledge of selective college admissions and financial aid processes
Preferably four years minimum experience in selective college admissions and/or college guidance
A positive attitude and clear enthusiasm for working with adolescents and parents
An excellent work ethic and strong communications skills
Some travel required as well as occasional evening and weekend commitments
