Belmont Hill School seeks an art teacher with talent and expertise in a range of disciplines. The position would include teaching two or three courses with specific needs including Photography, Video, and Middle School Art. Possessing skill and interest in drawing, painting, sculpture, woodworking or design would be helpful as we consider new course offerings. Additional opportunities within the school include theater leadership (both technical and directorial), coaching a sport, and assisting with extra-curricular activities. Strong applicants will have experience teaching or an interest in a career in teaching, talent and passion for the arts, and a willingness to work hard and learn. This position is part-time; the extent to which will depend upon the candidate’s skills and interests.
Belmont Hill occupies 29 acres in Belmont, MA, a suburb 20 minutes west of Boston. With a faculty of 65 men and women, the School offers a rigorous college preparatory curriculum for 435 boys in grades 7 – 12.
