CCNS is seeking a Director who will set the tone of the school and lead by example. The Director should be caring, considerate, and polite at all times. He/she should be capable of supporting the school’s mission and furthering the school’s curriculum. The Director is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the School, including school administration, curriculum development, personnel management, marketing and communications, parent relations, financial operations, facilities management, and church relations. The Director will work in partnership with the Board of Directors and the Rector of Christ’s Church.
Master’s Degree in appropriate field
Early childhood teaching experience
Administration and or supervisory experience
Financial and Budget Experience
5. NY State Nursery 6 Certification
Able to inspire and mentor faculty and staff
Able to establish and maintain accountability for himself/herself
Able to respect the views of others in an open and professional environment while maintaining a decisive demeanor
Able to generate trust from the parents through regular communication

Christ’s Church Nursery School (CCNS) is in Rye, New York and has been a ministry of Christ’s Episcopal Church for over 50 years. CCNS is a “Small by Design, Large in Learning” nursery school. Our students flourish through exploring, creating, engaging and experiencing the world around them in a purposeful play-based curriculum that is small in structure as well as student/teacher ratio. The cali...ber of our teachers is a hallmark of our school - all of our Head Teachers have their Master's in Education. And our assistant teachers are also highly-trained. CCNS respects each’s child’s religious and cultural background while operating in an inclusive Christian setting. Currently, CCNS has 1 Interim Director, 12 teachers, 1 administrator, and 1 Admissions Director. There are over 100 enrolled students ages 2-5 years. CCNS has a morning and an afternoon session. Children attend from two to five days a week in a classroom with a certified head teacher and an assistant teacher.
