Ethical Culture Fieldston is a progressive preK-12 independent school serving students from throughout New York City and the surrounding suburbs. A coed, nonsectarian school, it serves a diverse community of about 1,700 students from PreK to 12 on two campuses -- one in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, and the other in Manhattan. The upper school, located in the Bronx, is comprised of approximately 600 students and 90 faculty members.
Fieldston Upper School is looking for an outstanding, experienced, high school science teacher, who is comfortable working in a progressive school with a diverse student body. This is a full-time position for the 2017-2018 school year.
Primary responsibilities include teaching a course load of 3 sections of physics (includes regular and intensive levels) and being available to meet with students on an individual basis. The candidate should also be comfortable working collaboratively with other teachers and assuming responsibility as an advisor for a small group of students.
