The Dunham School, a private Christian Pk3-12 co-educational day school, seeks a dynamic and strategic leader for the position of Director of Enrollment Management & Financial Aid to plan, execute, oversee, organize and direct a comprehensive program of enrollment management to include student recruitment, marketing, data management, admission, and retention.
Position summary: The Director will manage all admission staff and processes, ensure accurate and effective data management, drive long-range planning for enrollment in partnership with the Head of School and senior admission staff, and represent the institution, both externally and with prospective students and families to meet recruitment and enrollment goals. As the strategic and operational leader on matters related to enrollment, the Director has a central role in implementing the School’s vision and further its mission. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of School in the administration of the financial aid program and with the Marketing office in message and value proposition development, advertising, and publications. The Director will enthusiastically be involved in all aspects of school life and build strong connections with students, families, alumni, faculty and staff.
• Develop long-range strategic plans and policies in support of an integrated enrollment management process and implement an annual admission management action plan in collaboration with the Head of School and Director of Advancement
• Ensure the enrollment of mission-appropriate, diverse and talented student body and increasingly selective admission program by conducting visits and outreach with prospective families • Review and develop admission standards and policies on prospective student qualifications, and make admission decisions in collaboration with Heads of Division. • Create and implement data-driven, market-sensitive, goal-oriented strategic marketing and recruiting plans to reach targeted local, regional and international audiences • Represent the institution externally through a coordinated outreach program and build positive relationships with prospective students and parents to advance enrollment goals • Collaborate with the Division Heads, Dunham Parents Association, Alumni Association and to engage and utilize current parents, alumni and students in recruitment and retention • Administer and utilize enrollment-related data management processes and systems • Collaborate with faculty and School leaders to facilitate retention plans and programs • Develop and track the admission operating budget • Compile, analyze and report on external market conditions and internal operating results, with attention paid to benchmarking peer schools • Oversee the coordination of any and all initiatives for the transition and orientation of new families • Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer on the administration of financial aid in order to achieve enrollment goals and shape a diverse, dynamic student body • Supervise, evaluate and support all admission personnel • Develop and evaluate advertising, direct mail, social media, website, brochures and other collateral material in partnership with the communications team • Serve as a creative, team-oriented partner on the Advancement team and collaborate with the Head of School and other Senior Administrators in the overall promotion and advancement of the School
