St. John’s Prep, a Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in grades 6 through 12, seeks a highly professional, entrepreneurial and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Donor Relations.
Reporting to and in partnership with the Managing Director of Advancement, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Donor Relations is responsible for generating significant year-to-year growth in annual revenue through a comprehensive annual giving and stewardship program that engages all constituents. The Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Donor Relations will have the opportunity to develop innovative and creative approaches to the school’s annual giving program. This newly created position is key to the overall success of the school’s philanthropic efforts and to advancing the school mission. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of all aspects of institutional advancement, and a desire to become part of a collegial team committed to advancing St. John’s Prep.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Build a successful, comprehensive annual giving and stewardship program;
Increase participation at the leadership level of giving;
Work closely with staff responsible for data entry, gift processing and financial reporting;
Manage the alumni and parent solicitation committee;
Develop and implement, in collaboration with the Alumni Relations Office, a comprehensive marketing plan across all constituent groups;
Significantly grow multi-year pledges, automated giving, loyalty programs, renewal campaigns and other related program;
Collaborate to strategically design, develop, and implement communication and marketing collateral, including direct mail, donor recognition and other materials;
Other duties as requested.
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree a plus
Six-plus years experience in institutional advancement
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Knowledge of data collection and analytics, specifically using Raiser's Edge
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
