The Lab School of Washington seeks a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Reading Specialist for the 2017-2018 school year. Candidate should have solid training and experience in directed, systematic, multi-sensory language instruction and remediation. Training in Orton-Gillingham or related reading programs ideal.
Experience in working specifically with dyslexics and other students with related reading difficulties required. Strong written and oral communication skills, positive interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with a multi-disciplinary team essential. Master's degree preferred in the areas of reading, speech and language, and/or special education.
