Associate Director of College Counseling
Founded by George Washington Copp Noble in 1866, Noble and Greenough School is a rigorous academic community dedicated to motivating and inspiring students to achieve their highest potential and to lead lives characterized by service to others. A co-educational, non-sectarian day and boarding school for students in grades seven (Class VI) through twelve (Class I), Nobles has a current enrollment of just over 600 students–including approximately 50 five-day boarders.
Nobles seeks to hire a college counselor for the fall of 2017. We are searching for an educator who has at least three years of experience working in college counseling in an independent school, a strong educational background—a bachelor’s degree is required—and exemplary academic advising skills. This position is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic college counseling department whose members are passionate about advising, teaching, and developing positive mentoring relationships with students and parents and guardians. The position is a ten-month position.
Successful candidates will be able to contribute significantly to the life of the school in at least one non-academic area (athletics, performing arts, community service, and /or admission). We seek an individual who, in joining the faculty, would bring a desire for ongoing professional improvement, a diversity of experiences and a demonstrated commitment to young people. Nobles has a long standing commitment to diversity and takes pride in ensuring that this is reflected within our faculty and student body.
