The Dorm Parent is responsible for executing the leadership, vision and programming efforts for the boarding students at RCDS, ensuring their safety and security. S/He will assist in the coordination and implementation of on- and off-campus activities.
-Oversight and supervision of boarding students in residence hall, ensuring a safe, organized, and nurturing environment
-Assist with the coordination and implementation of after-school and weekend activities, including homework completion, for students in residence
-Assist in the coordination and delivery of orientation programs and other events for boarding students
-Work with residential life staff to fully integrate the boarding and day student experience
-Other duties as assigned by the Head or your supervisor
-Dorm Parent Schedule:
The Dorm Parent will fulfill dorm parent duties 5 nights per week including weekend days. The Director of Student Life will provide respite when needed and will check-in on dorm life regularly to ensure that the dorm environment and culture is in keeping with RCDS standards and expectations.
Additional Salary Information: $25,000 annualized, two weeks off during school-scheduled academic year breaks, four weeks summer vacation to be taken the last week of June and first three weeks of July, plus housing, room, board and medical benefits associated with the position.
