Director of Finance
Aspen Country Day School seeks an exceptional leader to serve as Director of Finance. The Director is a member of ACDS’s senior leadership team and reports to the ACDS Head of School. The Director works in collaboration with the Head of School and the Board of Trustees to oversee the finances of the School. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for helping to support the school’s academic and co-curricular programs. The Director will have direct reports in the Business Office and Human Resources. In addition, the Director will work closely with the Director of Operations to develop and monitor an operating budget for the facilities, and interface with outside vendors, including a cafeteria service. The Director collaborates with the Head and Trustees to develop and monitor all aspects of a $7 million operating budget in addition to endowment and cash reserve investments. S/he supervises the School’s finance, human resources, and compliance.
S/he will also staff the Risk Management, Finance, and Investment committees of the Board of Trustees. Initially, the new Director must work hard to establish good working relationships with the new Head, senior administrators, and Board members in preparation for the 2017-18 academic year.
Aspen Country Day School shares a campus with Aspen Music Festival and School, and the Director will have a role in fostering a strong working relationship to ensure the continued success of this long standing partnership.
