We are currently seeking a full-time middle school Humanities teacher for the 2017-18 school year. The ideal candidate--a lover of literature, a close and careful reader, and a dynamic presence in the classroom--is skilled at engaging middle school students in text study, fostering rich conversation, and motivating students as readers and writers. He or she also has experience as a teacher of writing who has generated varied writing assignments that foster creative and analytical thinking. An MA in English or a closely related field is preferable.
