River Oaks Baptist School has an opening for a middle school science teacher. This teacher will initially teach sixth grade science (Earth Science and Marine Biology), though teaching assignments may change from time to time.
Successful ROBS teachers are committed to their students’ and their own intellectual, personal, and spiritual growth. Working in a Christian environment with an ambitious academic program, teachers model and nurture the skills and habits of mind required to fulfill our mission of preparing students to meet life’s challenges and lead tomorrow’s world through a superior educational program undergirded by faith in Jesus Christ and Christian principles.
To meet this lofty goal, the strongest candidates will have experience integrating technology intentionally; employing current pedagogies, including project-based learning and design thinking; and collaborating with colleagues within a grade level and department. Demonstrating commitment to the whole child, middle school teachers embrace the opportunity to lead an advisory group and sponsor an activity or club. Teaching at ROBS is more than a job. It is an opportunity to join a community that will change your professional life.
As with all faculty and staff openings, the School seeks Christian candidates eager to support our mission of preparing students to meet life’s challenges and lead tomorrow’s world through a superior educational program undergirded by faith in Jesus Christ and Christian principles.
To be considered for this position, qualified candidates will have a
