The Middle School Division Head position at SRDS is a senior level administrative position and reports to the Head of School. The Division Head is responsible for implementing the mission of the school in grades 5-8 through the supervision of students and faculty within the division. The Head oversees the middle school curriculum and program ensuring that all students are academically challenged, emotionally and socially supported and engaged in all aspects of the middle school experience. Division Heads teach at least one middle school class, serve on committees, chair division-level faculty meetings and lead grade level meetings about student progress.
This is a twelve month position starting July 1, 2017.
The successful candidate will have a masters degree in education, experience teaching middle level aged students, supervising and leading teachers, have excellent communication skills with parents and the community, and be knowledgeable about instructional technologies and learning management technologies.
