Reporting to the Director of Alumni & Parent Engagement, the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations works to implement Alumni Relations programming, oversee and improve existing regional clubs, and organize events for alumni.
Primary responsibilities include: managing and strengthening existing regional clubs by working with and motivating local volunteers; maintaining calendars, coordinating and attending events, and encouraging broad involvement to create a strong presence in a particular geographic area; implementing and sustaining new regional clubs; collaborating with other team members to create annually successful events; managing the Regional Support Subcommittee of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association; coordinating to insure appropriate invitation sending, tracking and follow-up for regional club events; tracking and reporting on prospect activity; updating contact and biographical information on a timely basis.
Qualifications should include a Bachelor’s degree, 3-5+ years’ experience in development or similar industry, strong initiative, a willingness to work flexible hours, the ability to travel up to 20% annually, the ability to speak in front of a group, excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow-up skills, strong attention to detail and quantitative skills, and proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with integrated databases.
